After your initial telephone discussion with us, we may ask you to come into our CBD offices to meet with us in person to discuss your circumstances in more detail. If you are located interstate or overseas, we can also meet with you by video-link or Skype.
The initial face-to-face meeting usually lasts for 60 to 90 minutes and the fee for the meeting is charged at a flat rate. At the meeting we will provide you with comprehensive legal advice regarding your circumstances and a range of options for achieving your desired outcome.
We will also discuss with you our terms of engagement and flexible payment options by reference to your circumstances. Depending on the nature of your family law matter, we may offer to conduct all of the work for a fixed fee or on a ‘pay-at-end’ basis. Alternatively, we may invoice our professional fees monthly based on the amount of time we spend working on your matter.
We understand the importance of exploring the various payment options with you and of helping you to find the option which best accommodates your circumstances by reference to the nature of your particular case.
